F**k Black Friday!

Although I’m not really into all of his hype around days such as Black Friday, not to mention all the hyping up before Christmas, I ended up spending a ton of cash today.

First of all, I was tired of using an old iPhone 5S, whch has a battery that only lasts about 2 hours, so I got myself a new phone. If that wasn’t enough I got a great idea of getting myself a GoPro…

Worst thing is that neither one of my purchases today were on sale.

I guess this Black Friday fever caught me. It subconciously made me want to go buy something. How mental is that? Congrats ‘Murica, I’m Westernized to the extent that I go on a shopping spree on that one day that’s made for shopping sprees, when I didn’t even really plan to do so.

Once again… FFFFFFfffffF#¤**!¤”@${€$IhewoiughAH!

(^ hopefully next Black Friday I’ll be able to afford one of these bad boys)
I’m not really regreting my purchases though, it’s just the fact that I did so today, of all the possible days, I had to pick this one! I still can’t believe it. It probably had something to do with me hitting 1000 followers on my Instagram channel. Guess it was a bigger achievement than I thought it would be!

^^ Phone

To tone it down a little, I have to say that I’m actually looking at both the phone and the GoPro as investments. The phone is going to save me TIME, because I won’t have to re-charge it every 2 hours (knock on wood), plus the camera is a lot better than on the 5S.

The GoPro is going to be used to make videos and vlogs for my YouTube channel, which isn’t going to be as serious as this blog. I realized that I mess up so much during my videos regardless, so hopefully I’ll be doing something more humorous as of now. Up until this point, I’ve been trying to stay cool, calm and collected and actually make decent videos, but I simply end up going off on tangents which I can’t really come back from.

Perhaps I have ADHD… who knows.

So the plan onwards is to do videos of me when I’m driving my car to and from places, hopefully touching on some supercar related stories.

Anyhow, I guess this it for now. Hopefully you enjoyed the read on your way home from a good night out on the town 😉 feel free to comment your thoughts on Black Friday!!!

Do you need a kick in the ass?

I think you do. In fact, I believe that 95% of all people need a real kick-in-the-ass sometimes to wake up and start doing instead of dreaming.
I’m not saying that dreaming is a bad thing, the  facto is that if you don’t do anything about those dreams, they will never materialize.

Most of these so-called 95%’ers believe that they’re actually doing something worthwhile.. Except they don’t see the bigger picture.

Note: I’m not throwing shit at people, just saying that most people are clueless. If you’re not one of these people, then know that I am GENUINLY HAPPY FOR YOU! Seriously! 🙂

Anyhow… Some of these 95%’ers are actually happy where they are. These are the people who love what they’re doing (or at least think they do), and live their life without actually striving for more than what they do each day.

I understand these people though… I mean, it sort of hurts to say it but until today, I was one of those people.

What happened is that I got a very important phonecall. One of those calls that you maybe get once during your whole lifetime.

It was a kick in the ass.

This was the last person on earth I’d expect to call me at 8 a.m. and turn my life upside down and put EVERYTHING into PERSPECTIVE.

I realised that what I am actually doing today, isn’t really going to get me to where I want to be in 2, 3 or even 10 years. Until this day I’ve been thinking that everything will sort itself out as long as I stick to my “safe” plan…

(This is what I want by the way ^^ – and I’d like it NOW. To hell with a 5 year plan when I can be working in a state of mind that will put me on a boat like that in Monaco before I manage to blink twice.)

Anyhow… The hard truth is that this won’t happen unless I actually DO SOMETHING about it. For the last one-and-a-half yrats, I’ve been sitting on my ass, waiting for a miracle to happen. I was going to grind it out like the rest…

Deep inside, I knew that I had more to offer. I still do. My potential is beyond my own grasp. I can’t even imagine the things I can accomplish if I simply DO.

That’s the thing, coming back to the 95%’ers… The one thing that they fail to realize, is that WORKING for and around your goals (and please understand me correctly, I’m not talking about working in an office in 3 to 5 years time), will actually lead to you accomplishing them!

So do this for me today: take 5 minutes to think about WHERE it is you actually want to be in 1, 2, 3, 5, 10-years time… WHAT is it that is going to make you HAPPY BEYOND BELIEF at those stages in life?

Once you’ve captured THAT, start ACTING so that you can achieve whatever it is that you want to achieve.

Give yourself a kick-in-the-ass and realize that you don’t really want to work in a cubicle.. I mean who does, right?

So go for your passion! Wake up! Start LIVING YOUR LIFE, and not someone elses!

B-man, signing out 😉

P.S. I’ll be following this up in another more structured post. I just had to get all of this out! 😀

TGIF! Celebrating 900 subs at Espresso House and throwback to Monaco 2012

2015-11-13 09.00.50

Today I’ve hit 900 followers on Instagram, which feels great! I can’t believe that I’ve only had this profile for half a year, and what’s come out of it so far. I never imagined that I’d be writing posts on my own website for fun half a year back, but here I am, and it’s exactly where I want to be right now, which is Espresso House at Steen & Strøm in Oslo.

Earl Nightingale, who is the author and narrator of The Strangest Secret (recommend you have a listen) says something like “we are where we are, because it is exactly where we want to be”. And that makes me happy. I am glad that I am consciously working towards a predetermined ideal. I won’t be sharing that with you just now, but let’s say my ambitions are quite high.

As this is a special occasion, 900 followers and all, I thought I’d dig in my archives and see if I had any special pictures that I’d like to post. And so I found some shots of a very cool Murcielago I saw in Monaco in 2012.

It was a really cool moment given that I’ve never seen one before. I knew straight away that this was the car I had to pick for this occasion.

I know the editing is really crap. I’ve only got PS Express and Lightroom on my phone and haven’t gotten a subscription to PS on my pc yet. My plan is to buy a DSLR soon, and when I get that, I’ll get a subscription to Photoshop on my laptop.

An awesome fact about this day is that I actually flew in to Monaco on a private helicopter from Nice. I mean, you can’t arrive in to Monaco in more style than that.

Anyhow, that’s about it for this post. Stay tuned for more posts throughout the weekend. Hope you have an awesome friday and remember – have fun!

Karma Automotive tweeted my picture. Anything is possible!

So, good news! This is my first official post on this website. I still don’t understand what I’m doing, but I’ll get there. Hopefully you’ll be patient with me!

I’ve had my @supercarsofoslo Instagram profile for a while now, about to round off 900 followers, and it’s pretty exciting! Who would have thought that a newly developed hobby could get me noticed by someone as big as Karma Automotive..!

It has to do with the re-boot of the brand. They haven’t been functioning for the last couple of years due to the fact that they went bust a while ago. But right now, they’re mobilizing Rambo style.

Thanks to the whole re-boot, they approached me and asked me if they could use a photo I took and edited in late August. ..which is insane! I must say I had a great start to this day when I saw my Twitter notification.

Karma Automotive

This inspired me.

To think big and to let my creativity explore and imagine opportunities that I never thought were possible. It’s funny how a small thing like that can set the tone for a whole day, and probably the rest of my week!

Anyhow, I’m going to round this off by saying that I’ve had an awesome day and finally got shit done. So go get your shit done, because anything is possible!

Make sure to check out Karma Automotive on Twitter @KarmaAutomotive; the same goes for Instagram.

And make sure to check out my Instagram profile as well. We’re gonna be at 1000 followers soon 😉
